Taggart, Phylis Winnifred ~ at Guelph General Hospital, on Saturday, July 24, 2010, at the age of 82 years. Beloved wife of the late Terrance Taggart and the late Gordon Beckett. Loved mother of Patricia Denney (Wayne), Elizabeth (Betty) Spanton (Steve), Richard Beckett, and Howard Beckett (Ann). Sadly missed by her grandchildren, Rebecca, Amanda, Emily, Craig, Tom, Michael, Brian, Lauren and her great grandchildren, Jacob, Elissa and Leah. Fondly remembered by brothers, Howard Nettle (Gloria) of Bedford, N.S., David Nettle (Carol) of Burlington and her many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by sisters, Margaret Nettle, Jean Ruse, Mary Ellen Nettle and brother, Robert Nettle. Phylis was formerly of Toronto, worked at Bell Canada and was a member of The Telephone Pioneers of America. Memorial Service to follow at 2:00 p.m. Cremation with Inurnment Memory Gardens. Memorial contributions to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario or the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated. Celebration of her life will be held at her daughter’s home afterwards.
