Janet Coulter Bridges

Peacefully at the The Village of Winston Park, Kitchener on Friday, July 23, 2010. Janet (Matheson) Bridges at the age of 93 years. Wife of the late Oswald Bridges (2007). Beloved mother of Sharon Howitt (Stephen) of Kitchener and Shirley Austin (Calvin) of Guelph. Dear grandmother of Scott (Lisa), Tara Rosevear (JP), Tina Sweeney (Shannon), Conan (Sheila), Kari Finoro (Sonny) and Devon (Christa). Sadly missed by her great grandchildren Charly Finoro, Emily Rosevear, Abigail Rosevear, Lilian Rosevear, Mackenzey Sweeney and Rachel Howitt. Janet was the last member of her family; she was predeceased by her sisters Jane, Marion, Ida, Rita, and brothers Archie, Tommy, Alden, Charlie, John, Gordie, and Doug. Janet served with the CWAC during WWII. Janet loved to bake and was well known for her scotch cookies. Janet also enjoyed playing bingo. Friends may call at the GILCHRIST CHAPEL – McIntyre & Wilkie Funeral Home, One Delhi Street, Guelph (from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday). Service at the GILCHRIST CHAPEL on Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. with The Rev. Karla Wubbenhorst officiating. Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park. Memorial contributions to the Salvation Army or the Alzheimer Society of Guelph-Wellington would be appreciated. We invite you to leave your memories and donations online.
