Scott, Kerry Lynne ~ July 19, 2010 Kerry passed away, suddenly, of natural causes. She will be deeply missed by those who treasured her quick-silver mind, spirituality and love of music, literature and laughter. Born in Toronto, Ontario, on June 29th, 1955, Kerry valiantly fought through a young childhood that was marked by repeated operations due to a congenital dislocated hip. Unknowingly, she was a pioneer in a field that offered little in the way of knowledge and expertise and her courage served to illuminate the path for those who would follow in her footsteps. Kerry went on to become a beautiful and vibrant young woman who was devoted to academic pursuits. She received degrees at both Trent University and the University of Guelph, taught at the University of Ottawa and, throughout her life, never lost her passion for learning. The daughter of David and Diane Scott and the sister of Hilary Scott and Alexandra (Sandra) Kearns, Kerry was deeply loved and cherished throughout her life. Her family and friends will all sorely miss her vibrant and generous spirit, her indomitable will and her incomparable humour. The Scott family would like to express our profound gratitude and condolences to Kerry’s beloved companion and friend, Kevin Marquess. We thank him for the decades of love that he shared with Kerry.
